In this tour we combine visits to two very different ecological zones. Our holiday starts by journey north from Tbilisi along the Georgian Military Highway and crossing Jvari Pass on the Caucasian Main Range to Kazbegi. Here we spend a day enjoying the views of the 5047 metres Mt. Kazbek and its picturesque Sameba church. We travel through the Sno Valley and trek to the Chaukhi Mountains – the Caucasus’s answer to the Dolomites. The Chaukhi Mountains are exceptionally dramatic and a favorite among rock-climbers – particularly the vertical north face. |
